Massive Blow for Loan Bhoy – Former Celt Dents Title Hope

BRONDBY handed Erik Sviatchenko his first defeat since heading back to FC Midtjylland last night as they replaced his loan side at the top of the table.

Midtjylland suffered the home defeat as they looked to create distance between themselves and Brondby. Both sides now sit on 53 points sees Brondby take the number one spot with three more goals better off in the Danish Superliga.

Brondby had a familiar name in their side for the tie – former Celtic striker Teemu Pukki lined up against Erik Sviatchenko on the night. It might not surprise Celtic fans to hear Teemu wasn’t on the scoresheet. Pukki’s teammate Kaper Fisker’s 21st minute goal sealed the hard fought victory.

Erik is hoping he can help his team to a league title but it’s certainly not going to be a walk in the park for the on-loan Celt as they now look to regroup after defeat.
