The former Aberdeen defender becomes a free agent following Las Palmasβ relegation from La Liga, and Croatian outlet 24sata report that he has already undergone a medical ahead of signing a fourβyear contract.

McKenna was regularly linked with a move to Celtic. But the former Aberdeen defender has chosen to keep playing abroad. Dinamo Zagreb, a dominant force in Croatian football and frequent participants in Europe, now look set to land him on a long-term deal.
Having come through the ranks at Pittodrie and established himself in the first team, McKenna made the move to Las Palmas in early 2024. He had a decent run in La Liga, but the clubβs drop to the second tier this year saw him leave when his contract expired in July.

Now, heβs set to begin a new chapter at Dinamo Zagreb, a club well known for developing talent and competing in Europe.
With experience in both the Scottish Premiership and Spanish football, McKennaβs move to Croatia gives him a fresh platform to show what he can do.

Dinamo regularly play at the highest level domestically and feature in UEFA tournaments, a stage where McKenna could push to impress again at club and international level.
Reports say the deal is for four years, showing Dinamoβs belief in him as a long-term part of their back line. With the medical now complete, barring any late issues, McKenna is expected to be unveiled as a Dinamo Zagreb player shortly.
