Some Celtic fans have been speculating that Jota said goodbye a month before leaving the club. The Portuguese winger sealed a lucrative move to Saudia Arabia this week, with Celtic receiving an undisclosed fee for the 24-year-old, believed to be £25m plus.
Some fans were expecting a goodbye from Jota on his Instagram account, which boasts over 330k followers. While there still might be a summing up of his time at Celtic, some fans have noticed an Instagram post from June 5th that, in hindsight, looks like a goodbye.
Two days after sealing the treble with Ange Postecoglou heading for the exit at the time, Jota posted a picture of him and some of his Celtic teammates at the Player of the Year event with the tagline ‘The Class of 22/23 have successfully graduated 🎓

Some fans even responded to the post at the time, asking Jota if he was heading for the exit. We all now know that he was, but did he know as far back as June 5th?
Jota’s last goal for the club came in the treble cup final against Inverness, winning 3-0 in Ange Postecoglou’s last game in charge.
