CHRIS SUTTON has this morning hit back at Scott McDonald for branding him a Celtic cheerleader after the Englishman had the audacity to say the Scottish champions should be getting top money for their players.
McDonald slated that notion and basically told Scottish football to know its place as the ‘inferior’ league. Chris is having none of it though and absolutely smashed McDonald with his response.
Did a 3 year old hijack your Twitter account Scott? I hope the weather is nice..The point is Scottish clubs shouldn’t sell players for a pittance…( google pittance)…as proven with Van Dijk, Wanyama etc. My price tag was devalued from Chelsea because I was rotten for them… https://t.co/L6wlS6PXdP

This is all born from the Kieran Tierney speculation. Arsenal’s £15million bid has been put into sharp focus since Manchester Utd had a £50m bid accepted for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Sutton makes the argument that both Bissaka and Tierney are very similar yet the disparity in price is stark.
Celtic should not accept anything other than big money for Kieran Tierney. We should NOT know our place and take what we’re given.
History has shown Celtic should be getting much more for their stars. Although Scott McDonald’s move to Middlesborough would contradict that somewhat. Like Sutton at Chelsea, the Aussie man was rotten!
