CELTIC today took their developmental side to Fife for the Reserve League Cup as they went up against Dunfermline at East End Park.
The bhoys took some heavy firepower with them but the game was won by just the one goal which was scored by Cameron Harper.
Dembele got most of the game and was subbed in the 89th minute, Armstrong Oko-Flex played well but didn’t get on the scoresheet.
There was no Jonathan Afolabi or Luca Connell as both fight back from injury. The pair are a big part of the plans in the youth development system this season.
Lee O’Connor helped keep a clean sheet for the bhoys as he continues his development after coming in from Manchester Utd.
Neil Lennon spoke about the young players in the system right now and how the club is very serious about building for the future. Jeremy Frimpong was supposed to be a developmental star at this point but he’s skipped that part and headed straight for the first team.
