Desperate Lazio Boss Makes Celtic ‘Mindset’ Plea

What a turn up for the books. Last year year it was Celtic who were looking for favours going into the last round of Europa League fixture – this year the club is sitting pretty having qualified with two games to spare.

The only thing left for Celtic is to see how many points they can finish on and if they can go through the whole group stage campaign unbeaten.

Lazio and Rennes were tipped to hotly contest this group but both have been chasing Celtic and Cluj the whole way through with Rennes bowing out early on.

For the Italian’s they’re barley hanging onto Cluj and now they need a big favour from Celtic in the last round of fixtures.

If Neil Lennon’s men manage to beat Cluj on the night it could open up second place for Lazio and knock the Romanian’s out.

Inzaghi told SunSport after their win against Cluj that he expects Celtic to be relentless.

“First of all, we have to do our duty in France. There’s no point worrying about what is happening in the other game if we can’t beat Rennes.

“Celtic have given everything in this group and I believe they will do this also in Romania.

“I believe it’s the mindset of the Scots to try and win every match and we have to hope they will do that and win at Cluj

“In football, nothing is impossible. We have to keep believing we will qualify.

“Celtic won at the Stadio Olimpico so they can certainly also win at Cluj. Like I say, it won’t matter if we cannot beat Rennes. Let’s do our job there and see what happens.”
