Deserves More Credit – What Celtic Fans Should be Talking About Today

That’s twice in two weeks Celtic have scored two impressive goals in Europe but neither is being talked about with any real affection because of the overall result.

Scott Sinclair came off the bench last week in Athens to score a sensational diving header to give Celtic a little bit of Champions League hope before the light was extinguished completely. It was a well-taken goal and Sinclair scoring with his head was noteworthy in itself.

Now, Mikey Johnston’s Euro introduction has suffered a similar fate because of the overall performance and result the team got in the night.

So we’re here to shine a light on how good the goal actually was, pity the game didn’t pan out like we expected after it.

Not daunted by his Euro debut, the young player received the ball from Olivier Ntcham and proceeded down the wing where he shook off the Suduva right back with minimal fuss. A fantastic sharp turn and the young lad was off.

Once he had beaten his man the delivery was just as sensational and Ntcham was there to nod it home from close range. What a start for the young man!

Hopefully this is the beginning of Mikey’s breakthrough season.
