Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has been named in the latest SPFL Team of the Week following his brace in the Hoops’ dominative 3-0 win over Hearts at the weekend.
The Japanese frontman put in a standout performance, opening the scoring with a clinical header early doors.

He then doubled his side’s lead not long after, slamming home first-time from a looping Matt O’Riley pass.
It was the first time in just under a year that the 29-year-old had scored more than one goal in a game, and it earned him a deserved place in an eleven of players that stood out across Scotland over the weekend:

James Forrest was named in the SPFL Team of the Week last week and the one before that, but Kyogo has now taken the reigns as the Celtic representative.
He has been widely criticised this season for not hitting the heights he did in 2022/23 but as the campaign approaches its climax, the attacker is beginning to up the ante.
