Ross Desmond Makes Clear Statement on His Dad’s Celtic Shares

Ross Desmond, the son of Dermot Desmond, has made a clear statement about the Desmond family’s commitment to Celtic.

Dermot Desmond, the largest shareholder in the club, was absent from the AGM yet again.

Ross emphasised the deep connection his father has with Celtic, noting that Dermot Desmond grew up as a passionate fan of the club and remains so. This personal connection and passion for Celtic seem to be a driving force behind their continued investment and involvement with the club.

Most importantly, Ross Desmond stated unequivocally that in both his and his father’s lifetimes, they have no intention of selling their stake in Celtic.

Speaking at the AGM on Wednesday lunchtime, Ross Desmond, filling in for his father, said: “My father grew up and still is a passionate Celtic fan. In his and my lifetime we’ll not be selling our stake” [Celtic Underground]
