Former Celtic player and assistant manager Murdo MacLeod has urged Moussa Dembele to join Dortmund if the interest from the Germans is legit.
The Celtic striker has two years left on his current deal but reports this week claim the German giants have enquired about his availability.
With many Celtic fans desperate to see Dembele stay as long as possible, MacLeod believes the player would love it in Germany and should take the opportunity.
“It would be a great move for Dembele. Dortmund are an iconic, massive club.
“Dembele has been a top player for Celtic but it looks likely he will move on and he needs to choose his next step carefully.
“The Bundesliga is full of quality teams and any young player looking to progress would be wise to move there.
“You are being tested every week.
“Edouard looks like he will be a regular and Leigh Griffiths will also play his fair share of games, so it’s all pointing towards Dembele leaving.”
Celtic are asking big money for their French star and will no doubt hold out for a large fee, especially because they paid a large outlay for Dembele’s potential long term replacement Odsonne Edouard.
