ERIK SVIATCHENKO played his first competitive match for FC Midtjylland this evening and helped his loan club to a 2-0 victory.

The Danish defender was surplus to requirements at Celtic Park and told Celtsarehere.com exclusively that he asked to go out on loan to get first team football.

Despite interest from England the player chose to head back to his former club FC Midtjylland and he looks to be enjoying his football once again

Many Celtic fans feel that there’s still more to come from Erik and were disappointed he was allowed to go out on loan.

There may be a chance for the Dane to resurrect his Celtic career in the summer but for now, he looks like he’s focused on hitting the heights with his loan side.
