Defender Won’t Rule Out Celtic Stay

Celtic loanee Jack Hendry has admitted he is unsure where his future lies as he prepares to return to Parkhead this summer.

The defender spent last season out on loan with Belgian outfit, Oostende impressing hugely in his time over there. His loan side also has the option to buy the 26-year old.

However, speaking to BBC Sport, Hendry is unsure where his future will be as he looks ahead to the European Championships with Scotland next month.

“I don’t know where I’ll be next season – what will be will be. Obviously, I’m concentrating on being with Scotland and letting those things happen with my representatives and the clubs.

“I’ve been in the situation before where I’ve been linked with clubs, so I’m not concentrating on that at all.”

Of course, we will probably have to wait until after the Euros to discover where Hendry will play going forward.

One thing is for sure if reports are to be believed, several sides are looking to sign the Scottish defender.

After what can only really be described as a poor start to life at Celtic, some fans have called for Hendry to be given another chance after impressing out on his loan spell this season.

With our lack of options in defensive areas, it will certainly be interesting to see where Hendry ends up next season.
