Defender Reveals ‘ Frustrating Few Months’ After Cameo Appearance

NEIL LENNON used his squad very well on Wednesday night as the bhoy’s steam rolled past Partick Thistle to get to the semi-final of the League Cup.

Celtic ran out 5-0 winners on the night and it could have been more had it not been more. The most pleasing aspect of the result was how many of the fringe players came in and performed on the night.

Frimpong and Bayo having standout matches. Seeing Scott Sinclair coming back into play, scoring a goal and then there was the reintroduction of Jack Hendry.

This was a first for Neil Lennon who has never played the defender since the manager returned to the club in February.

Hendry was part of two match day squads for Neil Lennon last season but never got on the field.

After the game the defender was delighted with his cameo and revealed he was struggling with injury and had a frustrating few months.

Could the player come back into the reckoning or was this merely a cameo for the centre-back?
