Debut Bhoy; John Kennedy Must Hand Exciting Celtic Youngster First Start

Going into the last four games of the season, Celtic fans will likely be counting down the minutes that will bring to an end what has been a pretty disastrous campaign.

In what has become a very strange feeling, we enter this period with no trophies or anything to play for.

Effectively, the season is over.

As we begin to look forward to next season, there is so much planning that will have to be done behind the scenes. So, it will probably take a few months for everything to start taking shape.

These last four games which include trips to Aberdeen, Rangers and Hibernian as well as the final home game of the season against St Johnstone, should be used as a part of this planning going into next season.

Several fringe players should be given their shot in the side, including the likes of Vasilas Barkas and Albian Ajeti but one particular player that should be given at least some minutes in the first team is Adam Montgomery.

Montgomery recently signed a brand new deal at the club so it is clear he is highly rated here.

Converted from a forward player to the left-back position, this feels like the perfect chance for the 18-year old to showcase what he can do when given the opportunity.

Left-back hasn’t exactly been a nailed down position for Celtic this season, so why not give him the minutes ahead of Diego Laxalt, who won’t even be here next season.

With the ever-changing game that is modern-day football, the club’s academy could be needed more than ever going forward. So, it’s time to start giving these players their chance to show what they can bring to the squad.
