Deal Agreed – Celtic’s Champions League Wild Card Set for Medical

HAPOEL Have confirmed Hatem Abd Elhamed is now set for his Celtic medical as he closes in on a deal with the Scottish Champions.

Since the news broke on Wednesday night, the Defender has just been waiting for the green light to head to the UK to take part in his medical.

Hatem sat out Hapoel’s Euro tie last week with his fitness not being risked ahead of a life changing deal for the player.

The club tweeted today:

Hapoel Beer Sheva and Celtic signed an agreement to transfer Hatem Elhamid to the Scottish team. Hatem will immediately undergo medical examinations and work permit arrangements in Scotland. Upon completion of the proceedings, Hatem will officially transfer to Celtic.

Hatem can be registered for the club’s double header against Kalju with the wild card window open until Tuesday evening. This is when the club can register a player out with the already submitted squad up to 24 hour shift before kick off.

Unless there’s a twist like the Turnbull deal, the defender should be holding a Celtic jersey shortly.
