It’s deadline day and usually we’d be geared up for an exciting days of ins and outs but the shine has well and truly been taken off this season.
We’re not expecting the club to do much at all, a couple of loan signings maybe or a pre-contract.
The transfer window slams shut at midnight tonight.
What can we expect?
The big talking point of today is Jonojoe Kenny coming to the club on loan to fill Jeremie Frimpong’s position. The Everton defender looks set to come in before midnight tonight. It would be a major deal for the club to get this one over the line. Having a right back means Ajer can go back to centre-back and Duffy can come out of this side.
The big exit which could happen is Olivier Ntcham. There’s reported interest in the Frenchman from England and France. Celtic won’t hesitate to sell the midfielder if they get the price they’re looking for.
The club are in desperate need of a centre-back but Ben Davies spectacular eleventh hour Liverpool deal has put end to any hopes we had of signing centre-back. You have to imagine, if we do manage to get another defender in, it will be a hastily put together punt by our scouting system.
