David Moyes Replies to Celtic Speculation

Speculation has been widespread about Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou’s potential move to Premier League side Spurs.

The interest comes as no surprise and if the move does go through, Celtic will be in need of a new manager.

In prior years when the managerial post at Parkhead has been vacant, former Hoops defender David Moyes has been linked and amid the news of Postecoglou’s potential departure, Moyes said (The Sun):

“I’ve never even considered it.

“I’m West Ham manager and I’m really enjoying my period here.

“I’m hopefully trying to continue growing a really good football club so I’ve not given it any consideration.”

What Moyes has said is that of what any manager who is currently at a club would say when asked about the vacant role at another club.

Moyes is focusing purely on West Ham United at the minute and kudos to the Scot as he has the Hammers in a European final.

They will take on Fiorentina next week in the Europa Conference League final as former Celt Moyes aims to become the first Scottish manager to win a European trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson did so with Manchester United in 2008.
