Farzam Abolhosseini in Denmark has addressed rumours surrounding a private jet flying from Portugal to Glasgow, which caught the eye of Celtic supporters.
With Brøndby and Celtic-linked striker Mathias Kvistgaarden training in Portugal, a flight from Faro, where Brøndby’s mid-season training camp is, has sparked speculation.
Abolhosseini previously broke the news of Celtic bidding for Kvistgaarden in 2023. However, he has taken to X to address the rumours over a potential flight to Glasgow for the Danish striker.

Abolhosseini said in reply to a post on X about the flight, “By the way, that doesn’t fit. Stupid rumours.”
It’s a strong update from the journalist, with talks between Celtic and Brøndby said to break down on Saturday, with the Danish side holding out for well over £10 million. They are desperate to keep a hold of Kvistgaarden, and if he does leave, it will need to break Celtic’s club record transfer fee that they paid in the summer for Arne Engels from Augsburg for £11 million.
For Celtic, they need to sign a Kyogo replacement before the window closes, with the Japanese forward’s level of consistency and constant goal threat being nearly impossible to replace immediately.
Adam Idah and Johnny Kenny are Celtic’s only current first-team strikers, and it is likely to be a busy day with rumours of moves for a number of strikers.
