As Celtic seeks a suitable replacement for the retired Joe Hart, the recruitment team has cast a wide net in their search for a new goalkeeper.

Among the leading candidates is Peter Vindahl Jensen of Sparta Prague, who has emerged as the club’s top target for the crucial No. 1 jersey. Additionally, Celtic’s interest has extended to Martin Dubravka of Newcastle United, who recently shined on the international stage with Slovakia at the Euros.
Further expanding their search, Celtic had earlier this month inquired about the potential availability of Daniel Peretz from Bayern Munich. The young Israeli goalkeeper, who is positioned behind the seasoned Manuel Neuer at the Allianz Arena, saw limited action last season, making only two appearances for the Bundesliga champions.
However, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, any prospects of a move for Peretz are now off the table.
Plettenberg reports that Bayern’s new manager, Vincent Kompany, has decided to keep Peretz at the club for the upcoming season.
Peretz is set to compete with Sven Ulreich for the position of Neuer’s backup, closing the door on potential loan opportunities for the 23-year-old this summer.
