Cummings has been highly regarded within Celtic’s academy and has featured prominently for the club’s B team in the Lowland League. While first-team opportunities have been limited, his performances at youth level have caught the attention of several English clubs.
He was recently given a taste of Champions League football, coming off the bench during Celtic’s 4-2 defeat at Aston Villa, showing that Brendan Rodgers sees potential in the young striker.

With cross-border compensation rules in play, West Ham are expected to land Cummings for around £300,000.
While Celtic will retain some financial benefit from the deal, the move represents another young talent departing before breaking into the first team.
Losing a promising youth prospect is always frustrating, but with Celtic actively strengthening their squad in this window, the focus remains on immediate first-team additions.
As for Cummings, he now looks set to take the next step in his career south of the border, with West Ham providing him the platform to develop further in England.
