Daniel Arzani has opted against a return to the Scottish Premiership, sealing a move to Hungarian champions Ferencvaros instead.

The former Celtic winger had been linked with Hearts over the past few weeks, with the Tynecastle club reportedly considering the Australian international as a potential reinforcement for new manager Derek McInnes.
Arzani, however, has chosen a different path, signing with Ferencvaros, who are now led by former Celtic striker Robbie Keane.

Arzani’s time at Celtic was a case of what might have been. He joined the club on loan from Manchester City in August 2018, a move that initially generated excitement. But his Celtic career never truly got off the ground. Just minutes into his debut, the winger suffered a serious knee injury that ultimately derailed his two-year stint in Glasgow.
Since then, Arzani’s career has taken him across several countries, most recently in the A-League. Now 26, the move to Hungary represents another fresh start, but this time under a familiar face for Celtic fans in Robbie Keane. Keane took charge of Ferencvaros earlier this year and has already led the club to another title in the Hungarian top flight.
The Hungarian champions will be competing in Champions League qualifiers this summer, offering Arzani a chance to showcase himself on a bigger stage once again.
