Duff first started his role at Celtic as a youth team coach under Brendan Rodgers. How we, he was quickly promoted to the first team, when Rodgers departed the club in 2018
At the end of last season, he left his post at Celtic to go and take up a role at the international side he made 100 appearances for and spend more time with his family back home.
He was of course replaced by current first-team coach, Gavin Strachan in Neil Lennon’s backroom staff.
Many fans have already rallied on social media for Duff to make a return to the club. He has received high praise from every bone involved, whether that be players or coaches for the impact he had.
At this stage, I would say it looks unlikely. However, after a successful spell at the club, you can never say never.
