Odsonne Edouard has scored in five consecutive games for Celtic after netting against St Mirren midweek. It’s the first time he’s done that in his Celtic career.
After a very indifferent and stop/start beginning to the season, the Frenchman has started to hit a bit of form.Unlucky for Celtic, it’s too late for it to matter.
The cynical fans will say we’re nearing the end of the season and as we get closer to the transfer window opening again, we’ll see the best of the striker.
Eddie wants a move and the best way to get the biggest move possible is to continue to score for Celtic from now until the end of the season.
Neil Lennon is happy to see Eddy back to form.
“Odsonne had 28 goals going into lockdown in March last year.” Lennon explained to SunSport.
“So he’s got a bit to go to match that but he’s capable of it.
“I’m pleased with his contribution within the team as well, which has been a lot more prevalent within the last two or three months”There’s not much for Celtic fans to be excited about with regards to The striker’s form. Most have resigned themselves to him leaving so an upturn in form is not something we can look to next season with.
If his down turn coincided with not getting a move last summer, it has certainly contributed to our bad season.
Overall, Edouard has been sensational for Celtic and our recent success wouldn’t have been possible without him.
