The BBC off the ball show today asked Former Rangers owner Craig Whyte the question that plagues Scottish football – Are current Rangers a new club?

This was the answer.

There should be nothing controversial about Craig’s answer. They are a new club and were not demoted down the league but instead, were allowed special dispensation to enter the league system in the old third division.

The waters get muddy when you’ve got a compliant Scottish media full of wishful thinkers and idiots.

They went into administration and never came back out. Their creditors were stiffed and they try and pretend none of it happened.

Pretty sad really, what’s sadder is the new club desperately trying to keep up with Celtic spending money they don’t have.
