‘Couldn’t Agree More’ – Former Celtic Star Backs Parkhead Club in Row

ERIK SVIATCHENKO has taken to social media to back Rod Stewart after the singer sent a letter to TalkSport over Ian Abrahams comments about the club.

We posted the email earlier today – ‘Rod Stewart Email’ where the Celtic daft musician defended his club under the most unfair of scrutiny.

Abrahams has attacked Celtic as a club, the SPFL and tried to diminish Brendan Rodgers achievements since becoming the Celtic boss.

Rod took the high road and wrote a positive email to Abrahams – explaining why the club are so special and why the fans are excited to watch the bhoys week in, week out.

Upon reading the email, Erik Sviatchenko posted it to his followings with the tagline ‘ Couldn’t agree more’.

Erik officially left the club this summer after a successful loan spell at FC Midtjylland. The player helped his old club win the league in Denmark last term before making the move permanent.

The defender was part of Celtic’s invincible season and he is remembered fondly by most of the support as not just a good footballer but a genuine human being.

His love of the club shining through once more.

Erik suffered the same fate as Celtic in the Champions League qualification this term. The Danish Champions failing to make the tournament while many clubs who have won next to nothing saunter into the group stages.
