Reports from Wednesday evening were followed up today that Hatem Abd Elhamed is on his way to Celtic.
Neil Lennon looks to be closing in on a swoop for the defender and today SunSport has claimed they will sign the 28-year-old on a four-year deal. Not ruling this out but a three-year deal would appear more likely from trends we’ve seen from Celtic in the past. You never know. The report also claims the defender will earn around £7kpw.
Celtic have been relentless and appear to be leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of players this transfer window. Hatem would come in as a centre back who can also fill in at right back as well as a defensive midfielder.
The Hapoel Be’er Sheva player is expected to be a Celtic player in the very near future and could feature for the bhoys very quickly.
With Celtic not finding a full time right back as of yet and Ajer playing out of position, it would seem like a no brainer to stick the Israeli midfielder straight into the side so Ajer can move back to his natural position.
