Contingency Plan Set for Celtic Scenario

CELTIC plays Motherwell in the Premier Sports Cup on Wednesday night, with the sides given a rather bizarre kick-off time of 6.15.

Premier Sports are broadcasting the match before switching to Ibrox to show The Rangers’ tie against Dundee. The station will switch to Govan just five minutes before that match is to kick off, but it leaves no time for Celtic’s match to play out of it does end in a draw.

However, if the sides can’t be separated in Lanarkshire, the game will move the channel to Free Sports, where extra time and possibly penalties will be shown. [Daily Record]

It’s poor planning from the company; however, it’s good to see there is a backup plan in place, and Celtic fans don’t have to worry about not being able to watch their side.

Hopefully, extra time isn’t required, and Celtic can book themselves a slot in the semi-finals, with the draw to commence after the match at Ibrox. Killie has already put their name into the hat.
