BRENDAN Rodgers has named the Celtic side that will start the first half of the match against Spanish side Athletic Club.

After the match against Wolves, the Northern Irishman confirmed to Viaplay he’d name two sides, one for each half, so that players who haven’t featured heavily could get some much-needed minutes.
The match could also see some injury returns, with Nawrocki, Starfelt, Carter-Vickers and Ralston all pictured in training on Monday ahead of the match.
So, for the first half of James Forrest’s testimonial and for the final pre-season match, here is the team Brendan Rodgers has selected:

It’s the last preparation for the Hoop’s title defence, which kicks off on Saturday against Ross County. The Hoops welcome the Staggies for a 12.30 kick-off.
The match is available for Celtic fans to watch on Celtic TV all across the world, including the UK and Ireland, with a good turnout expected at Celtic Park to celebrate a Celtic legend.
