FK Sarajevo have taken the unusual step of offering out thousands of FREE tickets to their game against Celtic so they can pack their stadium in the hope of causing an upset.
The Bosnian champions are imploring the city to get behind the team when the treble treble champions come to town.
Celtic will take on the Bosnian outfit in the first Champions League qualifier of the season. While Celtic are heavy favourites, they can take nothing for granted and it appears Sarajevo will do everything to try and throw the Bhoys off their game.
A Sarajevo statement said: “We need the help of everyone in the city for this game.” as cited by Sunsport.
“Come to the Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium and cheer us on against Celtic.”
Celtic have four qualifiers to go through if they are to make the group stages of this year’s competition. Neil Lennon’s trip to Bosnia will be his first European game back in charge of the bhoys since leaving over five years ago.
Celtic are used to noisy crowds, so if they do manage to pack the stadium it could even work to our advantage rather than a flat uninspiring atmosphere.
