Celtic have confirmed the signing of Moritz Jenz just minutes after confirming the signing of Aaron Mooy.
Ange Postecoglou told Celtic fans the Hoops were close to a double signing on Saturday and by Tuesday, both players are in the door.
Moritz has been a long term target for the club, with Celtic making an initial move for the 23yo last season. The German moved to Lorient last summer but it’s not worked out for him in France. Moritz now comes into Celtic with a point to prove.
Jenz becomes a loan signing for Celtic with an option to buy next summer as revealed by FC Lorient.
Celtic are stepping up their final preparations for the new season and a double signing puts them i na great place ahead of the 22/23 campaign.
Jenz will provide cover and competition at centre back, while Mooy will certainly play his part in the midfield. It’s going to take a lot for both men to come in and make their mark, because we have a settled enough side.
