Two days after confirming his Celtic exit, Mikael Lustig has signed for Belgian side Gent after agreeing terms with the club this week.
Lustig spent eight years at Celtic and it was a match made in heaven. The defender averaged a Celtic trophy for ever 17 games he played.
Today, the news that he has found a new club will be bitter sweet. Celtic fans will be happy the player has got a new club with a long contract but he will be missed.

Mikael has been instrumental on and off the field for so many years and whether you wanted him to stay or not, he should have every Celtic fans respect for what he has accomplished.
For the Swede, he now starts a new adventure with Genk and we wish him all the best for the future.
Celtic are in desperate need of a right back after the player’s departure.
