Celtic have confirmed Liel Abada’s new four-year contract, securing his place in the squad until the summer of 2027.

Abada, who has scored 29 goals in 105 appearances for the Scottish giants, expressed his elation at the new deal and his eagerness to contribute more to the club’s successes.
Scoring almost one goal every three games is a solid return for a winger, and his pace, agility, and crossing abilities have been a key part of Celtic’s offensive strategies.
“I’m really happy to sign the new contract,” said Abada on Celtic’s website. “Celtic is a big club with big fans and I love the club. Every time I score for this club is really amazing. To score in Celtic Park is always special and the atmosphere is amazing.”
He continued: “Hopefully I can show more this season for everyone and I will try and get better for the team. Every time you play at a club like Celtic you have a lot of great players and a lot of competition. For me, the most important thing is to work hard every day and gain experience from the staff and improve for the team.”
The club will resume contract extension talks with Japanese midfielder Reo Hatate once the transfer window shuts. Hatate has been another influential player for the team, and tying him down to a new deal is the next priority for Celtic’s managerial staff.
The player is currently out injured and has yet to start a competitive match under Brendan Rodgers, with David Turnbull the preferred choice for the first two games against Ross County and Aberdeen.
