Confirmed: Late Fitness Test, Celtic Star Boards Flight to France

It has been the question of the day; Will Edouard be fit enough to join Celtic on their trip to Paris?

The answer is…YES!

Edouard has been out of action for a while. Injured before the international break then contracting the virus during it meant he’s not played for Celtic in well over a month.

Even though he returned to the club on the eve of the Derby, the striker has been in no condition for game time – until now. Neil Lennon confirmed he would only make the call after testing the striker’s fitness before the flight.

Eddy could now play his part in the Europa League match against Lille on Thursday night.

A sub appearance could be on the cards to fine tune the Frenchman for the Aberdeen semi-final on Sunday.

It’s great to have him back!

Celtic have had a bad few games over the past week and we need to get back to winning ways; easier said than done against a top Lille side. Our performances have to be better and having Edouard back will enhance the team.
