Confirmed: Good News and Bad News for Celtic’s Title Run-In

After we reported Giakoumakis was spotted in training this week, Ange Postecoglou confirmed at today’s pre-match press conference the striker is fit for Sunday!

There was a major worry we could lose the Greek frontman for a sustained period of time heading into the final five pivotal SPFL ties. He misses the Scottish Cup semi-final last Sunday but will now be available for the visit to Dingwall.

It’s a great boost for Celtic and takes the burden off Kyogo who will still be trying to find his match sharpness after a lengthy layoff.

The bad news for Celtic is Josip Juranovic will be out for a couple of weeks and will miss the Glasgow Derby and the Ross County game this weekend.

Celtic are in a great position with five games to go but the champagne isn’t being put on ice at the moment. There’s still work to be done and if we can get a win against Ross County on Sunday, it will be a massive step forward toward the title.

Juranovic’s injury is a blow, but we do have a strong squad and Anthony Ralston will get to finish what he started.
