GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS has left Celtic. The Greek striker has taken to Instagram, proving Ange Postecoglou right, to bid farewell to the Hoops supporters.
The striker is set to join Atalanta United in the MLS, with their transfer open for a couple more months.
He thanked fans for their support, admitting it was difficult to say one final goodbye. While saying he’d be forever grateful to the Celtic faithful, he posted:

Many players, including Stephen Welsh, Anthony Ralston and Ben Siegrist, replied to the Instagram video, wishing him luck.
The striker wasn’t prepared to play second fiddle to Kyogo and wanted an improvement in wages.
Ange Postecoglou didn’t seem happy with Giorgos Giakoumakis and how he conducted himself with the cryptic posts, voicing his disapproval in a press conference. He said that supporters would see the news on the striker’s Instagram before the club had confirmed it, in a tongue-in-cheek comment.
It won’t be surprising if the Greek striker doesn’t receive the same farewell speech Juranovic got when he left last month.
