CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN is no longer a Celtic player; the defender has officially left the building after Montpellier confirmed the deal on Tuesday evening.

Chris was a Neil Lennon signing and did very well under the Irishman over the piece. Two big goals scored against Lazio in the Europa League and the famous header against Rangers in the League Cup Final of 2019 will live long in the memory.
Celtic has taken a massive financial hit by selling Chris, but Ange was keen to get the defender off the wage bill to make way for some new players.
The bhoys signed Jullien from Toulouse for over Β£6m but will be heading back to France for around the Β£1m mark, sources have told CeltsAreHere.
Ange Postecoglou just didn’t see in Chris; when he came back from a year on the sidelines, many expected the centre-back to pick up where he left off, but he failed to make many Postecoglou squads. In the summer, Chris made it clear he wanted to play first-team football or he would be looking to move on. Ange decided to let him go.
Celtic’s Defenders
The four defenders currently in Celtic’s squad are CCV, Carl Starfelt, Moritz Jenz and Stephen Welsh. There was no room for Chris and especially after Jenz was brought in.
The Frenchman has signed a three-year deal with Montpellier and we wish him nothing but the best!
