With tonight’s results in the Europa League, it has been confirmed that next seasons Scottish Premiership winners will automatically enter the Champions League at the Group Stages.
Journalist Dale Johnston, who provides updates on the Coefficient rules, confirmed that with Scotland confirming their place in 11th for this season’s coefficient ranking it has all but secured Champions League Group Stage football automatically next season.

Scotland finish the season 11th in the UEFA coefficient ranking.
Means 2021-22 Scottish champions are all but certain to qualify direct to the group stage of the 2022-23 Champions League.
Happens as long as the 2021-22 UCL winners also qualify via their league.
The one catch is that as long as next seasons Champions League winner, also qualifies automatically that place will be secured. This is highly likely to happen though, with the latter stages of the competition usually being filled with some of the European giants in the top five leagues across the continent.
This should certainly be seen as a massive incentive to the board at Celtic ahead of next season to win our title back.
The club as a whole has a massive few months on their hands, making the appointment of the new Director of Football and manager, as well as being faced with the task of rebuilding the squad.
