CONFIRMED: Celtic Team V Athens – Rogic Starts

Celtic have hit the ground running into the new 2018/19 season. This evening at Celtic Park though, the Celts will face their toughest test of the new campaign.

Brendan Rodgers big calls this evening were always going to focus around the right back and centre back positions. Christian Gamboa has been a very worthy replacement for Mikael Lustig at right back. Jack Hendry has a battle holding on to his place with Jozo Simunovic returning from suspension, but the young defender has been giving the vote of confidence from the gaffer. Gamboa loses out to the returning Lustig.

Speaking of good starts to the season, Tom Rogic played an absolute stormer the weekend for the Hoops. Tonight against an experienced defence it could take some magic from the wizard to carve open some chances. Celtic do have some game changers on their bench tonight if things are not going as planned.
