Confirmed Celtic Starting XI for Hibs Trip; First Ever Start

BRENDAN Rodgers’ side has had quite the six days.

A trip to Hearts saw a brilliant performance and result, a home tie against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, where, again, the Hoops gave a good account of themselves in a 2-2 draw, and played some of the best football fans have seen in a long time, particularly in the first half, and now they face a trip to Easter Road.

Hibs have had a full week to prepare for this match, after their loss at Ibrox. They’ve even managed to fit in a bounce game midweek.

With Celtic looking to get an early lead over second place, for at least a day, Brendan Rodgers has named this side for the match in the capital.

Reo Hatate’s omission from the squad is no surprise, Rodgers had said he will be sidelined for a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

It gives Paolo Bernardo a massive chance over the next few weeks to show his worth after a good performance against Atletico on Wednesday night.

It’s his first-ever start in Celtic colours.

He’s currently on loan from Benfica, and it’s believed that Celtic have included an option to buy him in his loan agreement.

There is no channel or PPV available for fans in the UK to watch the encounter.
