Celtic have today announced the signing of Rosenborg defender Leo Hjelde on a three-year deal.
The youngster is about to turn 16 and will join up with the bhoys developmental side.
The club seem to be making a concerted effort to replenish their youth ranks with quite a few leaving this summer and others promoted to the first team.
The club already announced another 16-year old joining the ranks this window with Tobi Oluwayemi confirmed over the weekend.
The defender comes in with not many, if any, Celtic fans knowing much about him but if he’s a Norwegian defender then it’s only inevitable he will be compared to Kristoffer Ajer.

Ajer was brought in as a young lad but he already had a decent reputation in his own country before making the move to Celtic.
While it’s good to see the club getting prepared for the future, many fans will want to see first team stars coming through the door ASAP.
