Celtic have completed the signing of Jeffrey Schlupp on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season, securing much-needed cover in key positions before the transfer window closes.
The 32-year-old, who can operate at left-back, left-wing, and central midfield, arrives at Celtic Park with a wealth of Premier League experience, having made over 200 appearances for Palace since joining in 2017. His versatility will provide Brendan Rodgers with vital squad depth as Celtic push for domestic honours and prepare for their Champions League knockout tie against Bayern Munich.

A solid if uninspired signing for Celtic’s title push
With Alexandro Bernabei leaving permanently and Alex Valle’s loan being cut short, Celtic were left light at left-back, relying solely on Greg Taylor for the remainder of the campaign. Schlupp’s arrival eases that burden while also offering another attacking option on the left flank.

Schlupp has played 12 times in the Premier League this season and remains an athletic, dynamic player capable of impacting games at both ends of the pitch. His deal runs until the end of the season, but should he impress, there is scope for Celtic to discuss a longer-term stay in the summer.
He could go into the squad for the Dundee game on Wednesday evening if he’s fit and ready to go.
