CELTIC will head over to Ireland as part of their pre-season preparation, Shamrock Rovers has confirmed.

The friendly is pencilled in for July 7th and tickets for the game will go on sale THIS Wednesday.

Celtic will be starting their pre-season earlier than usual with four Champions League qualifiers to negotiate if they’re to reach the group stage.

The silver lining for Celtic is they will be seeded for the entire qualification process but there are still some pretty daunting teams in the mix the further Celtic go.

The friendly with Rovers will be part of the major preparation.
