Celtic midfielder Ismaila Soro has officially parted ways with the Scottish champions, signing a two-year contract with Israeli outfit Beitar Jerusalem.
Soro’s time at Celtic can only be described as underwhelming; despite being a likable individual, he failed to make any significant impact on the pitch and never seriously contended for a spot in the first team.
The move to Beitar Jerusalem offers Soro a fresh start and an opportunity to revive his career, away from the pressures of Parkhead.
While his affable nature made him a well-liked figure within the club, his performances simply didn’t meet the high standards expected at Celtic. We wish him all the best in his new venture.
As the clock continues to tick towards the midnight deadline, the question on everyone’s mind is whether Soro’s departure will be the last of the outgoings from Celtic today.
With the club actively involved in both incoming and outgoing transfers, and manager Brendan Rodgers hinting at limited activity on the incoming front, it remains to be seen if any more players will be exiting the Celtic Park gates before the window closes.
