Confirmed – Celtic Cleverly Hold Onto Ibrox Money

Some Celtic fans minds have been put at ease after Celtic SLO John Paul Taylor confirmed they would be in line for a refund after paying for their tickets or the Glasgow Derby.

The game was supposed to go ahead mid-March but two days before the game the shutdown was put in place for the safety of fans and players.

There has been no refund to this point because the tickets these supporters have would be valid if the season was back up and running. However, if you have been following what’s been going on, football isn’t likely to return this season and certainly wouldn’t be happening with supporters in stadiums.

That means anyone who paid out for a ticket to the Ibrox game WILL be getting a full cash refund when the league is called.

What’s even better – Celtic didn’t hand over any of the ticket money to the Ibrox club before the game so it will be easy to administer.

Celtic get around 800 tickets for the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox and the briefs are £52 a pop. So the club are sitting with just over £40k worth of cash that The Rangers would have been getting.
