Come on Scotland: Euro 2024 is Here

As Scotland prepares to kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Germany tonight, we at CeltsAreHere would like to extend our heartfelt wishes to the entire Scottish team, and particularly to our Celtic contingent of Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor, Anthony Ralston, and James Forrest.

The Scottish National Team will take centre stage for the opener in Munich, and the anticipation among fans is palpable. Tonight’s match against Germany is not only a test of skill but also a celebration of Scotland being at a major tournament. Yes, we were at the Euros in 2021, but football was not the same and nobody really counts Covid football. This feels like our first major tournament proper since 1998.

For our Celtic players, this tournament represents another opportunity to shine on the international stage. Callum McGregor, the captain of Celtic, brings leadership and composure to the midfield and will likely be the one Celtic player who gets the most minutes. All four could play their part during the group stage depending on how things shake out.

Scotland’s fixtures in Group A are a mix of challenges and opportunities. After tonight’s match against Germany, they will face Hungary on June 19th and Switzerland on June 23rd. The group is tough, but with the right attitude and a bit of luck, the Tartan army is hopeful.

The journey to Euro 2024 has been a long one, marked by hard-fought victories and memorable performances. As Scotland takes to the field tonight, we stand united in our support for the team, and especially for our Celtic stars. The hopes of a nation rest on their shoulders, and we are confident that they will give their all.

So, to Callum, Greg, Anthony, and James, and to the entire Scottish team, we say: Go out there, play your hearts out, and make us proud. The nation is behind you, and we believe that this could be the start of something special. Good luck, Scotland!
