Colin Kazim-Richards recently made some comments regarding his time under former Celtic manager Ronny Deila.

Kazim-Richards, who has played for 19 different clubs during his career, which says more about his footballing ability, or lack of, didn’t hold back when expressing his opinions about Deila’s coaching style.
The striker took issue with Deila’s coaching approach, asserting that he didn’t feel like he was learning much under the manager. According to Kazim-Richards, Deila lacked key elements such as motivation, effective communication, and the ability to relate to his players. On top of that, he criticised Deila’s tactical acumen, suggesting that there was confusion regarding the team’s game plan during his tenure.
One particularly unique aspect of Kazim-Richards’ critique was his mention of the dietary choices Deila introduced to the team. According to the player, Deila enforced a diet that excluded carbohydrates but included a lot of fried, fatty foods like bacon and pork sausages.
Quoted by RecordSport, he said:
“It’s because you aren’t learning. I think with Ronny Deila, there was nothing he was doing that any of us was learning. There was no motivation, no communication, no relatedness and on the pitch one thing he was not good at is tactics.
“It was like ‘what are we doing?’ He brought this full fat diet into the team. No carbs, but there was bacon, pork sausages, everything fat and meat diet. If I am lying, I am sure you can look it up somewhere. You would come down to breakfast at nine in the morning and it’s all fried food, just meat, you’re like ‘what’s going on?'”
Ronny Deila has found success at Club Brugge, while Kazim-Richards is without a club.
The former Celtic boss was also successful in the MLS.
For someone like Colin Kazim-Richards to look down on Deila, who’s kicked on after his time at Celtic, is quite disrespectful, especially given that he’s got nothing to write home about in his career.
I’m not saying Deila was a world-beater or anything of the sort, but he deserves some respect.
