KRIS BOYD may talk nonsense but at least he’s consistent.
The Kilmarnock striker who does nothing but talk about Celtic in his spare time was bang on the money as far as we’re concerned when he spoke about the latest transfer development at Ibrox.
The rotund frontman seemed excited by the prospect of the Ibrox club landing Jermain Defoe on an 18-month loan deal. Yes, a man whose own team is very much in the title picture is salivating over another club’s signing.
However, we couldn’t help but admire his declaration to Sky Sports.

So Kris believes Jermain Defoe can have the same impact as Robbie Keane did at Celtic.
For once, we would have to agree with the stuttering pundit!
Robbie Keane was signed by Celtic during a season where the team was hopeless under Tony Mowbray. The Englishman tore the team apart halfway through the season and thanks to Dermot Desmond, the Bhoys managed to get Robbie Keane in for the second half of the season.
It was hailed as a top signing for the bhoys, however, it didn’t translate to silverware and that’s where Kris is certainly onto something.
Celtic lost the league to a financially doped up Ibrox side and were put out of the Scottish Cup at the semi-final stage with Keane in the side.
The Irishman scored goals, but he couldn’t be a difference maker. We doubt that’s what Kris meant here but we’re backing his opinion all the way. It’s wishful thinking.
