Mechelen boss, Wouter Vrancken has claimed he’s still waiting on the go-ahead to sign Marian Shved on a permanent basis.
Speaking to HLN, the Mechelen boss revealed they’re still waiting for the club’s to work out a deal.
“Ferdy Druijf and Marian Shved? They are eager to come back to play for us, but we have still to wait for an agreement at club level. If they come in, then we are in very good shape for this season.”
It’s no surprise Shved would like to stay in Belgium. He has had opportunities at the club and has also changed his work ethic which was reportedly lacking at Celtic.
The bhoys are going through a major transition so there is an opportunity for fringe players and outcasts to come back into the fold and play for the club. However, it appears that’s not what the Ukrainian would like at this point in his career.
If a player doesn’t want to be here then it’s best for Celtic to cut a deal. We need everybody pulling in the same direction next season or this season will be another disaster.
Neil Lennon didn’t fancy the winger at all, perhaps a word from Ange might change the player’s perspective.
