Peterborough director Barry Fry believes Eddie Howe is a man who would certainly want his own staff in at the club.

Fry claimed knowing Howe well and if any deal was to be done — his backroom team from Bournemouth would almost certainly be joining him.

“They work well together at Bournemouth. Knowing Eddie, he would want to take the majority of his backroom staff.” Fry told The 72.

“That’s normal in football now, so I don’t think Celtic would have any problems.”

Celtic fans have been waiting on an announcement for some time now. Since Easter, Eddie Howe has been the only real candidate mentioned in the press and among ‘in the know’ source online.

The frustration among the support is there for everyone to see. Fans just want to know what’s going on.

It’s been over 70 days since Neil Lennon left his post yet we’re still without a confirmed manager for next season.

One theory, which Barry Fry feeds in to, is Eddie wants his backroom team with him but they’re currently getting ready for the Championship playoffs.

It could be Howe wanting his team signed, sealed and delivered before everything goes public. In which case we have to wait a while yet.

The only saving grace would be if Eddie Howe knows he’s the next Celtic manager already — moves could be happening behind the scenes.
