Clear Path for Darren Fletcher to Make Move

Manchester Utd midfielder Darren Fletcher has been told he is free to find a new club this month with no transfer fee involved.

The Scottish International who has suffered from a debilitating illness that has disrupted the last three years of his career has 6 months left on his current deal at Old Trafford but told he can leave in search of regular first team football.

West Ham and West Brom have been most active this window on trying to sign the player who is on big wages in Manchester but there has also been some interest shown by Celtic.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila did mention last week that he was waiting to here where they stood with regards to Darren.

“He has several names (interested clubs) and I think it is best for me to wait to next Monday to see where we are.” said Deila.

With no transfer fee to worry about Celtic may firm up their interest but his wages would be an obvious stumbling block. While the 30 year old is a bhoyhood Celtic fan it remains to be seen if he is willing to take a large cut in wages.

Do you think Celtic should make a move for Darren Fletcher?
